Windham & Windsor Housing Trust will host Home Sweet Home, a free Gingerbread Homebuilding Event, on Saturday, December 7th. This family-friendly event will take place from 1:30pm to 3:30pm at Holton Hall on the Winston Prouty campus.

The public is invited for creative afternoon building sweet homes during the holiday season. Each builder will be provided with all the elements to create and decorate a modest home, as well as additional materials to allow for creative building opportunities. Completed homes will be sited within a sweet neighborhood, designed to illustrate an example of a smart-growth land use pattern. Participants will be encouraged to take their creations home with them.

Admission is free, but donations are welcome and appreciated, with all proceeds going toward the creation and stewardship of permanently affordable homes in Southeastern Vermont.

WWHT sponsors include Neagley and Chase, Stevens & Associates, Vermont Country Store, Mascoma Bank, Brattleboro Savings & Loan, Vermont Integrated Architecture, Stewart Property Management, DEW Construction, Savings Bank of Walpole, Gossens Bachman Associates, Howard Printing, Minuteman Press and C&S Wholesale Grocers, whose generous support enables events like this to remain admission free.
